A Matter of Tension
I found a black metal binder clip clamped onto an old receipt on the bottom shelf. The spring had noticeable resistance. It took some leverage with both hands to squeeze the silver wire arms open, but the snap was clean and decisive. Tucked behind a stack of paperbacks was a loose holographic sticker featuring a pixelated graphic. The receipt was useless, but the print was decent enough to show off. I worked its lower edge into the clip's jaws and set the whole assembly upright on the wood. It stands completely steady on its own. A surprisingly respectable miniature display.
