Ronas, the Winged One of the Two Flames
In the eras before the first memory of mortals—when the sky was a vast sea of storms and the earth seethed with primordial volcanoes—Ronas was born, a warrior-demon forged in the red light of dying stars. His wings, black as obsidian and veined with smoke, were vast enough to blot out the sun; their beating unleashed a wind capable of extinguishing sacred fires or setting entire forests ablaze. Ronas was known as the Winged One of the Two Flames, for he wielded twin weapons that no other being could ever lift: a flaming sword whose fire consumed not flesh but memories, erasing the history of his enemies; and a massive runic axe, etched with sigils that stole the life force of those struck, feeding the demon’s eternal fury. It is said that Ronas was created not to rule, but to pass judgment on war itself. He would appear on battlefields when hatred had surpassed all bounds, his arrival heralded by three signs: the clouds turned red, the birds fell silent, and the warriors' shadows began to tremble as if possessed of a life of their own. For centuries, entire peoples tried to drive him away, yet neither blade nor spell could ever wound him. Ronas struck neither out of vengeance nor cruelty; he fought to remind mortals that the cost of any war is too high. Yet, paradoxically, every battle he fought risked igniting others, for legends of his might drove kings and warlords to seek him out, hoping to tame him or summon him to their own advantage. And so, when the flames of a sword illuminate the night and the wind carries the scent of hot iron, Ronas will not come to punish… but to decide who is truly worthy of survival.
