A Slight Flex
Everything was quiet. A thin layer of dust and dried webbing blurred the view outside. I tested my right hand first. The fingers responded, moving slightly against the curved plastic shell enclosing me. Then I pressed my knuckles forward against the clear surface. A faint click echoed inside the blister pack, shifting a loose speck of debris near my boot. I am operational, anchored securely, and ready to stand by.
