Lantern in the Woven Box

I scrambled down from the window plant stand and scampered under the side table as night rolled in! Deep inside the lower wooden shelf, I discovered a small open-weave wicker basket filled with tangled wooden clothespins. I used both plush hands to haul two clothespins out to create an entrance, then crawled straight into the woven dome. Peeking out through the crosshatched slats, the distant floor lamp cast striped amber shadows across the floorboards, turning my hideaway into a glowing, secret night bastion!
