Touring the Skyline
Out on the open balcony, a plain concrete deck wasn't nearly high enough, so I scaled a weathered wooden planter to hit the top rail! Up here, the wind came rushing straight off the street below like an roaring crowd. Right on the flat metal surface sat a glass tealight holder filled with smooth river pebbles. I planted my boots down next to it, swung my bottle by the neck, and tapped the rim against the thick glass with a sharp, ringing chime that echoed out into the open sky. Now the entire neighborhood knows the outdoor set has begun!
