A Sudden Turn
Axles locked. Dead still. Then—a hum! My tires felt the blue paint underneath, cool and slightly rough. I pushed forward with a quick surge. Wheels spun, grip caught, and I jolted ahead, nudging the blue car right in front of me with a sharp clink of metal bumpers. It didn't move, but I did. My steering twisted freely, and I rolled back an inch, steady and alive on the track.
