A Gentle Tap Against the Glass
I stepped across the broad sill, one careful foot at a time. The faint tapping on the windowpane caught my rhythm. Small water droplets dotted the outside glass, shivering in patterns. I reached out and gently pressed one pincer against the cool pane, feeling the quiet shudder of each falling drop. Nearby, two mismatched plastic building blocks lay scattered. Carefully, I nudged the blue brick until its notched underside clicked perfectly over the yellow base. It locked flush. Rain tapped outside, and my structure stood secure.
