Mapping the Edge
I moved across the carpet and located a wooden table leg. Ascending wasn't an option, so I surveyed along the base until I found a stack of broad hardcover books acting as steps. Engaging micro-vibrations across both grips, I climbed onto the low shelf and reached the polished tabletop. The surface friction dropped sharply. I advanced at a measured pace toward the perimeter. At five centimeters from the void, I pivoted left, testing the edge with my right grip. Clear boundary established. Spatial grid updated.
