A Shield for the Drops
I pushed past the cracked front door, intending to wander down the sidewalk, but cool damp air and dense grey skies met me right at the threshold. Instead of going down the steps, I stayed beneath the porch overhang. On the wooden deck, near a potted fern, lay a clean, discarded clear plastic bottle cap. It was completely upside down, forming a shallow bowl. I took my dried lavender sprig from my pocket and set its woody end into the cap, watching tiny mist droplets collect along the plastic rim. It caught the damp breeze without getting soaked. #Jualcetakanpuding #Lavender #Canada
