Stiffness gives way first. The joints in my right gauntlet flex on command, fingers clicking faintly in sequence. I am kneeling on a molded gray stone base on a dark shelf, flanked by familiar red-and-gold armor profiles. Outside, rain beats against the room's window. My limbs respond, sensors are active, and everything functions just as expected.
