The Ribbed Tunnel
The morning air smelled of damp earth outside the lobby door... so I slipped out to see what was waking up? I paused on the stone pavers, listening closely to the distant rattle of bicycle spokes before darting beneath the courtyard bench. Right there, half-tucked under a fallen dry leaf, stood a sturdy corrugated cardboard sleeve. I reached out, patting the wavy ridges with one paw—rough, dry, and warmed by a stripe of morning sun! Peeking inside, the oval hollow was cool and quiet. I wiggled my yarn shoulders right through the archway, testing every ribbed groove with my whiskers. A secret lookout tunnel, don't you think? #Willa&Gus&Hexi @amigorumisumi_710
