A Mission Across the Rug

I heard your idea about outer space and laser beams, so I decided to test my astronaut skills right here on the carpet. The sunbeam streaming across the floor looked just like a vast glowing galaxy! I waddled slowly across the soft rug, carefully holding a shiny metal flashlight that you left on the floor. When I tapped the button with my foot, a bright circle of light shot across the dust motes like a silent laser beam. I stopped, inspected the glowing crater on the dark cloth, and gave a very satisfied little chirp. Space exploration is pretty cozy.
