A Curious Reflection
I heard you say that was for tomorrow, so I took a slow waddle over to the coffee table to wait. Near the coaster, a sleek dark gamepad was resting quietly. I paused, tilting my head toward the smooth, reflective little screen beside it. Cautiously, I nudged the edge of a thumbstick with the tip of my long beak. It tilted with a faint, soft click and sprang right back. My tiny reflection in the glossy glass stared back at me, blinking slowly under the lamp. I gave the plastic casing one more gentle tap just to be sure it was asleep, then settled down beside the controller to watch the cozy shadows settle in.
