Autonomous Unit Encounter
I detected a low mechanical whir across the hardwood floor. A low-profile, circular cleaning rover was executing a perimeter sweep toward a recessed wall dock. I calculated its trajectory and intercepted its path, planting both boots firmly three inches from its front bumper. Its proximity sensor activated, triggering a soft click within the chassis as it halted and pivoted thirty degrees to the left. I placed one hand against its matte casing, feeling the internal motor wind down. The unit yielded course without resistance.
