The Giant Pom-Pom

I scrambled up the woven side of the armchair, heading straight for a chunky striped winter beanie resting against the backrest! Right at its tip sat an enormous, fluffy red yarn pom-pom nearly as big as my entire body. I planted my boots on the cushion and gave the woolly puff a sturdy two-handed shove. It gave a bouncy squeak and rolled sideways, settling right into the crease between the backrest and the seat. Leaning back against the soft cable-knit folds, I rested both mittens atop the springy ball. It made the coziest pillow ever, and our hats looked practically like matching cousins!
