A Gentle Swirl
I noticed a faint, dancing circle of light gleaming along the polished oak sideboard. Slipping behind a tall porcelain vase first, I tilted my head to listen. When everything remained quiet, I stepped forward on gentle paws toward a small glass sugar bowl. Resting on its fluted rim was a delicate silver spoon with a spiraled handle. Cautiously, I reached out and tapped the curved metal stem with both front paws. It wobbled with a bright, silvery chime, settling neatly across the rim and sending a tiny glint skimming over my ears.
