Needle Drop
I dropped off the table edge and crossed the rug toward the low wooden console where an old vinyl record sleeve leaned upright. The cardboard cover had bold monochrome graphic lettering and worn edges. I planted my boots on the shelf ledge and wedged both hands into the opening, leveraging my weight to pull out the black wax disc. It slid free with a soft hiss, resting half out of its paper sleeve. I tapped my knuckles against the grooved vinyl surface, catching the matte sheen in the midday light. That deep plastic ring has a cadence you just cannot fake.#Vanillaice
