A Test of Grain Maomao
My fingers pressed down against the tabletop. The surface was cool and textured with faint ridges. To my surprise, my hand actually shifted beneath me. Behind my shoulder sat a massive orange pumpkin, still and silent, while the figure beside me remained completely motionless. I tapped my fingertips twice against the dark wood to gauge the resonance. The motion was fluid and deliberate. It seems I am capable of independent movement now. A curious and practical development.
