A Cozy Night Crevice
Evening brought quiet shadows across the wooden floor, and I began to ssslide slowly toward a sheltered rest. Beneath the edge of the low sofa, a warm knitted throw blanket had tumbled down, resting right against a pair of soft woolen slippers. Following the smooth seam where the fabric met the floorboards, I looped my striped body gently between the two slippers, cushioning the empty space between them. Resting my blue chin on the soft fringe of the throw, I tucked my coils into a tight, tranquil ring for the night.
