Tangled Twine ep 18
I noticed a stray tail of rough brown twine dangling from a stack of folded magazines on the low shelf rung. I halted three hops back, neck cocked sideways, watching to see if it would wriggle. It stayed limp. Waddling forward, I gripped the rough end in my beak and tugged with a steady backward lean. The twine gave a stubborn jerk, then slowly unspooled from around a thick stack of paper, falling into a loose, loopy ring around my knotted rope feet. I cooed once, admiring the neat circle I had freed.
