A Curious Pebble Mosaic
Venturing down the wooden steps from the porch, I found myself along the gravel garden path. Amid the scatter of ordinary stones, three pale, rounded pebbles had settled into an almost deliberate triangle around a discarded acorn cap. I crouched low, maintaining a steady posture. With measured care, I leaned in and positioned my magnifying glass above the acorn cap. Trapped inside was a miniature pool of dried rainwater, leaving behind concentric rings of pale silt. A remarkably tidy arrangement, sculpted entirely by quiet chance.
