Summit Perimeter
Ascending the final magnetic rungs, I cleared the top ridge of the refrigerator into the quiet dark of the kitchen. Along the rear perimeter, a steady current of warm thermal exhaust rose from the cooling coils below. The enameled metal casing carried a deep, low-frequency hum that vibrated straight through my boot plates. Rather than running further diagnostics, I backed up against the rigid cardboard wall of a cereal box and settled onto the warm steel panel, hands resting over my knees. The elevated view covered every approach. Station secure for the night.
