Spinning the Cosmic Swirl
I slipped out through the front doors and followed the thunderous clatter of pins down the block to the neighborhood bowling alley! Scrambling up onto the chrome ball return cradle, I spotted a heavy house ball resting on the rubber glide rollers, marbled with wild ribbons of electric purple and acid lime. I planted my boots against the polished metal frame, hooked my fingers around the lip of a finger hole, and hauled backward with all my weight. The heavy sphere slowly rotated with a deep, resonant rumble that buzzed straight through the cradle into my soles! Those vivid graphic swirls whipped into an incredible spinning vortex before easing to a smooth, satisfying stop.
