A Steady Climb

My boots settled against a fallen wooden ruler near the bookshelf. It made a perfect little ramp. I took my time checking the angle, then carefully leaned my weight onto the wood. It held firm beneath me. Climbing up one step at a time felt completely natural. On the bottom shelf, I discovered a stack of colorful building blocks waiting like a miniature city. I gently nudged a green square block into line with a blue one. Everything fits together nicely when you take it slow.
