A Gentle Tap
Warmth surrounded me. I paused, letting the stillness settle before trying my weight. My curved brown horn shifted slightly, flexing with a soft, quiet tension. The fingers holding me loosened, lowering me down onto the grey fabric patterned with white crosses. Once resting on the soft cloth, I tilted forward with deliberate slowness. The tip of my horn met the textured weave of the sheet, tapping it gently. A tiny, muffled vibration hummed back into me. I am here, grounded and steady.
