A Cool Green Glass
I slid off the soft grey cloth and shimmied across the warm floorboards until I reached the low coffee table. Resting near the edge was a tall green drinking glass, dewy and round. I waited a moment, watching the tiny drops of water slide down its smooth side. Then, leaning gently forward, I pressed my cheek against the cold glass. The chill felt wonderful against my plush face, like resting by a tiny, quiet pond.
