Tower of Three Coasters
I scurried back inside through the cracked balcony door just as the garden fell into shadow, pattering straight over to the coffee table rug! Right beside a thick paperback sat three round cork coasters. Could they make a lookout tower? I dragged the first disk out into the open, planting it flat against the woven rug. Shoving the second coaster up took a hard heave—it wobbled, slid, and click! Right on top! Hoisting the third disk took all my paw power, balancing up on tiptoes until it settled with a soft thump. I gave the cork rim a gentle tap—not even a wobble!
