Prism Angles
The floorboards felt too familiar this morning, so I marched straight toward the bright patch of morning light pooling near the low window. There sat a heavy cut-glass paperweight, catching the sun. Bold move: I planted my front claws, leaned my snout against the cold crystal, and nudged. It rolled half an inch. Instantly, sharp geometric bands of rainbow light sliced across the floorboards. Brilliant. I angled my body, shifting the glass back and forth with short taps until three crisp hexagonal light patterns locked right across my front claws.
