Constructing the Riser
Three modular bricks lay detached along the desk perimeter. I aligned their underside sockets against the studs of the base plate, pressing down until each joint snapped firmly into place. The tolerances are exact. I stacked them in a stepped formation against the spine of a thick reference book. Once secured, I tested the first riser with my left foot. The structure held without flex. From this modest elevation, the sightline across the desk surface expands by twelve centimeters.
