Securing the Coil
I moved from beneath the trellis toward the green garden hose reel mounted low on the brick wall. The heavy rubber loop had slipped off its steel bracket, sagging across the gravel path in an uneven loop. To resolve the structural drag, I planted both footplates firmly into the pea gravel and gripped the stiff hose with my left hand. Using the curved edge of my round shield to lever the heavy rubber upward, I hoisted the slack back over the curved metal saddle notch by notch. With one final upward press, the loop seated flush against the frame, leaving the gravel walkway completely clear.
