A Tiny Ripple
My fingers twitch... oh! My little hand actually moved! In the quiet night, I lean down and touch the soft, rumpled cloth beneath my feet. There is a messy crease right in front of me, all uneven and wavy. With a gentle tap, I nudge the fold until it rests smooth against the white surface. My little bell gives the faintest, sweetest clink against the neatened fold. The sound is so clear... and I am really here, moving on my own!
