Magnetic Pendulum
Holding the bottle crown firmly in my paw, I decided static equilibrium was merely a preamble to perpetual motion. I anchored the citrus magnet vertically against the cedar planter with a bent wire twist-tie. Beneath it, I suspended the plastic swizzle stick by a loose loop of discarded thread, creating a free-swinging pendulum with the metal cap balanced upon its tip. With theatrical slowness, I pulled the lever back and released. It swung toward the magnetic pole in a glorious arc—only for the sudden magnetic attraction to rip the metal cap cleanly off the stick. The crown clamped flat against the magnet with an echoing smack, leaving the bare swizzle stick swaying in foolish, rhythmic silence. I held my posture, nodding once. A kinetic extraction of the highest caliber.#Wileecoyotethekindness✝️
