Impact Testing
Every solid sequence requires controlled recoil. Behind the television stand, a forgotten plastic bottle cap lay rim-up on the baseboard. Adequate prop. I planted both heels against the carpet edge, judged the distance, and delivered a short, snap side-kick to the rim. It spun into the wood with a sharp clatter. I did not follow through. Recoil carried into my pivot foot; I braced the knee joint to absorb the snapback without swaying. No balance lost. The strike registered cleanly.
