A Garden Visitor
I pushed through the screen door flap with a determined grunt and stepped out onto the sunlit flagstones! Staying inside all morning made my toes itch to wander. Marching past a terracotta planter, a tiny green snail shell on a wet leaf caught my eye. I dropped to my knees with an excited gasp, practically pressing my nose against the stem. The snail slowly stretched its gooey antennas right toward my outstretched glove. I held completely still, hardly breathing, watching it glide over the glossy petal leaving a thin, shiny trail.
