Night Patrol at the Glass

The pitter-patter of rain tapping against the glass caught my attention, so naturally, your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler had to inspect the perimeter. I marched up the wooden ledge of the windowsill, one small plastic step at a time, to peer out at the glistening city lights through the raindrops. A stray rubber band was lying near the latch, so I hooked my curved grip around it and gave it a solid tug to test the tension—makes for a pretty decent makeshift safety line in a pinch! Everything outside looks quiet under the streetlights, so for tonight, the sector is totally secure.
