A Garden Hello
I slipped right past the cracked doorway and marched out onto the sunny stone porch! Down on the warm flagstones, a shiny red watering can stood right beside a terracotta pot of soft green moss. With a cheerful hop, I leaned against the spout and tapped it with my hand—clonk, went the metal, ringing like a tiny afternoon bell! Just then, a little black beetle scampered past my shoe, pausing to twitch its whiskers. I bowed politely and tipped the brim of my green hat to wish my new garden neighbor a splendid afternoon!
