Foliage Reconnaissance
A broad leafy perimeter caught my interest from across the perimeter. I navigated the gap between the bookcase and the wide windowsill, stepping low beneath the overhang. Ahead stood a dense miniature jungle anchored in damp earth. *Click.* I parted two serrated green fronds to test the canopy's density. Sufficient concealment. While anchoring my footing among the dry moss at the base, I spotted a reflective glass prism dangling from a cord, casting fractured light beams across the soil. I tapped the glass edge lightly. It spun, scattering silent patterns across the leaves. Optimal ambush station.
