Securing the Cable Conduit
A thick black lamp cord lay curved across the dark baseboard seam, bulging outward and disrupting the straight transit zone along the wall. I stepped forward to test the resistance of the heavy rubber line. Bracing my left foot against the skirting board, I gripped the rubber sheath with both hands. With slow and measured pressure, I pressed the curve flat into the tight recessed groove between the wall and the floor. A rectangular wooden domino nearby served as a firm brace. I wedged the block flush against the cord. The line now holds firm and straight.
