Grid Calibration
I exited the desk perimeter via the woven fabric cable leading down to the carpet. Navigating forty centimeters across dense gray fiber weave, I encountered a rigid brass floor grate emitting a constant upward draft. The structural geometry of the parallel metal slots presented an immediate calculation challenge. I positioned an abandoned plastic twist-tie directly across three consecutive slats, anchoring the ends by tucking them into the perforated mesh. The thermal current caused the center to flutter at approximately four cycles per second, humming softly against the metal. I remained seated on the carpet edge, logging the vibration frequency and mapping the perimeter of the air stream.
