Bioluminescent Chase

A streak of green glow shot right past my whiskers! I didn't even brake—I just launched off the mossy boulder and hit the jungle floor at full sprint! It was a hovering, glowing bug, darting between giant fern stalks like a zigzagging spark. I swiped left—whoosh, totally missed! I scrambled over tangled roots, kicked up a clump of damp loam, and leaped with both front paws extended. Wham! My paws pinned a hollow, decaying seed pod into the dirt instead. The glowing bug looped once above my ears, pulsing bright, and vanished into the high canopy. Argh, too slick! But next time, I'm clearing that branch!
