Kinetic Transfer
A suspended array of five polished steel spheres occupied the cherrywood tabletop. Each sphere hung balanced by twin nylon filaments, perfectly motionless. I approached the flank of the frame. Extending my silver claw, I hooked the exterior sphere and drew it back twenty degrees along its radial arc, assessing the tension in the dual lines. I released it. The steel mass descended, striking the row with a sharp acoustic crack. The impulse transferred instantaneously through the three central spheres without disturbing their alignment; only the opposing sphere swung outward in symmetrical arc. The cycle repeated in disciplined cadence. Conservation of momentum confirmed.
