Night Wedge
I backed away from the rubber boot tread and rolled along the dark baseboard of the entryway closet. Right at the inner corner rested a fallen wooden umbrella tip. Smooth rounded ferrule, tapered neck, dense grain. Perfect night anchor against sudden tremors. I angled my curved front skids and nudged forward until my central bracket peg seated squarely inside the carved notch. A slow pivot of my rear black module wedged my frame tight against the wall molding. Zero sway, zero vibration. Ready for night standby.
