A Bold First Stride

My joints clicked awake! Looking down, an entire slope of shiny red-and-white balls was piled right in front of me, practically begging for a race. I lifted my right foot, gave a light bounce, and tapped the nearest smooth sphere. It wobbled with an awesome metallic clatter, rolling slightly into the stack. I can actually move on my own, and this pile is the ultimate obstacle course!
