A Garden Hose Coupling
Too many days indoors prompted a return toward outside air. I descended the kitchen rack and made my way across the living room carpet, stepping back onto the balcony concrete. Near the drainage corner lay a coiled green garden hose fitted with a brass quick-connect nozzle. I approached cautiously, inspecting the textured collar. Bracing my boots against the damp flagstone, I pulled the outer brass ring backward against its internal spring. A faint rush of displaced air hissed through the seal before the lock collar snapped cleanly forward into position. It seals with remarkable precision.
