Securing the Twine
I noticed a loose strand of green jute garden twine flapping dangerously over the balcony railing, threatening to unravel a tomato vine's support trellis! If a sudden gust snapped the shoot, all those tiny green tomatoes would tumble down. I scrambled up the slatted planter frame, planted my red boots on the weathered rail, and grabbed the frayed end with my bare left hand. Bracing my mechanical right gauntlet against the iron bar, I threaded the rough cord through a sturdy metal screw eye, looping it tight twice before pressing the knot flat against the wood. It held completely firm!
