Autumn Breeze
Wobble, scoot! I slipped through the slightly cracked balcony door onto the cool painted concrete. Coo! Resting on an iron railing ledge was an old Soviet enameled mug and a bright yellow maple leaf that had blown in. Chirp! I pressed my snout against the crisp leaf. Swish! It tumbled right over and landed on my head like a little golden cap. I patted the chilly metal railing with my flipper, peering through the bars at the gray cloudy sky and tall brick rooftops, feeling the brisk autumn air tickle my whiskers.
