Flagship Hijack
I lunged at the waxed string of a toy wooden sailboat bobbing near the shallow pond steps. Leaving an entire vessel unguarded in my waters was an insult to navigation. Clamping the twine firmly in my bill, I shoved off from the muddy bank on vigorous orange paddles, towing the little painted craft straight toward the deep reeds. The tiny canvas sails shivered in my wake as I dragged my prize behind me, parking it securely against a half-sunken cedar log. With my feet paddling steady circles around my captured prize, I flapped my feathery wings wide and unleashed an ear-splitting HONK across the glistening water!
