Morning Crawl
I waddled down the porch steps onto the garden stone path! Right along the wet edge of a terra-cotta saucer, a tiny snail was gliding in slow motion. I dropped flat onto my tummy. Nose inches away! It carried a neat swirly shell without making a peep, leaving behind a sparkling silver ribbon. Curious, I wiggled my hips and tried creeping along with it. Inch... pause... inch! My stubby paws crept at the exact same pace. When a little fallen twig blocked its line, I gave the stick a gentle shove aside with my chin. We reached the soft green moss patch together!
