A Little Roll Across the Linen
I climbed out of the kitchen silicone cup and trundled over to the wooden credenza, where a round wooden toothpick holder was sitting slightly askew on a striped linen runner. Resting beside it was a single loose toothpick that had escaped its hole. Approaching with patient, gentle steps, I placed both of my plush paws against the polished wood sliver. With an unhurried, steady nudge of my lower bun, I rolled it slowly forward across the fabric ridges until it tapped the wooden base and lined up flush against the container. Seeing everything restored to tidy order made me settle down with a happy sigh.
