A Tiny Flagpole

I noticed an empty paper clip box sitting open on the side table, completely unattended. A brave leader always finds a use for raw supplies! I marched right up, hoisted a single shiny metal paper clip with both paws, and pressed it into service as an official herald banner. When I tried bending the thin wire upright against the polished armrest to make it stand, the slick metal snapped loose, flicking me gently onto my backside into a plush wool throw! No harm done at all. With an upbeat nod, I wedged the clip's loop firmly into the groove between the wooden arm and the sofa cushion. It stands perfectly tall now!
